Summer Vacation Fun

Yes, it's true...even photographers whose busy time is in the summer get to enjoy a few days off during the warm months! A few weeks ago I posted that I did a family portrait shoot down in Nantucket--and got to enjoy a weekend away with my husband Tony too...we had so much fun biking around and relaxing...and then we followed it up by grabbing our boys (Jared-5yrs & Grayson-15mo) and heading up for a week at our cabin on the lake in Northern Maine. It is so peaceful, quiet...SIMPLE up there. All my boys were in heaven..we even took Gray on his first ATV ride! It is a perfect place to unwind from everyday stresses...Here are a few photos from our time away. Hope you have all been enjoying your summer too!

Daniel's Bar Mitzvah...down Abbey Road

Last weekend I had the wonderful chance to photograph a Bar Mitzvah--my first! While no photography was allowed at the actual ceremony--I met with Daniel and his family for some family portraits ahead of time (his grandparents home in West Newton made for a beautiful backdrop)...and then we took a walk down "Abbey Road" for his Beatles inspired party. The spread was impressive too--complete with a sushi chef. I had so much fun capturing details...

A Nantucket Family Portrait - July 30th, 2009

This past weekend I had the pleasure of not only getting to spend a relaxing weekend on Nantucket, but this was thanks to an old high school friend who contracted me to do her family's portraits during their vacation on the island. Once again, the clouds parted for us--and we ended up having great weather for our end of day beach session. It was SO great to reconnect with Jodi, and meet her family!
